We are seeking a dedicated PE Teacher (Grades 4-8) and Athletic Director (Junior High & High School) to join our college-preparatory school and inspire a love of physical activity, sportsmanship, and healthy living. This role combines dynamic physical education instruction with athletic program leadership, fostering a vibrant school community where students develop both their athletic skills and character. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for athletics leadership, teaching, and student mentorship, creating an engaging environment that promotes teamwork, discipline, and personal growth. This position offers an exciting opportunity to manage and lead a comprehensive athletic programs.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive physical education curricula
- Coordinate junior high and high school sports teams, fostering a positive team culture through effective coaching, behavior - management, and classroom management techniques.
- Oversee the planning, organization, and execution of athletic events, competitions, and extracurricular activities aligned with educational compliance and regulation standards.
- Mentor students in developing their athletic skills while promoting values like sportsmanship, perseverance, and teamwork
- Manage classroom responsibilities related to physical education including lesson planning and assessments.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress in physical education and athletics; facilitate parent-teacher meetings to support student development.

Qualifications
- Proven experience teaching physical education at middle or high school levels with a strong background in sports coaching.
- Excellent communication skills for public speaking, parent engagement, teacher collaboration, and mentoring students and coaches effectively.
- Proven ability to foster parent and community support for athletic programs.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Prior classroom experience working with children in K-8 settings
- Demonstrated ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate physical activity
- Proven success managing classrooms effectively
- Strong communication skills are vital for collaborating with staff, parents, and community partners dedicated to student health.
- NC Professional Educator's License (Preferred)
