School leaders describe what makes Youngsville Academy different.

I would describe Youngsville Academy as being, ultimately, a different type of environment. When someone steps in to Youngsville Academy they just immediately see that it's different, see that there's joy in the students they see that the students are engaged and it brings the question every time we have a visitor how why Youngsville atomy is a classically oriented college preparatory school that is really focused on those lifelong outcomes for students helping students be lifelong Learners joyful successful good people and immensely deep down just good people that know how to go out and be successful walk in the classroom at Youngsville Academy we're going to see a very positive nurturing environment the students are constantly in called in the lesson teachers work with the students one-on-one whole group small group and you end up with this environment where we have total time on task and the teachers feel supported in getting the teach so that an environment where they come in and they're not distracted by behaviors were having to manage classroom disruptions we're all a team and we're all moving toward lesson completion in this fast-paced engaging way what a did you see when you come in the school is that everyone's busy everyone's joyful and everyone's kind of doing what you would expect they should be doing in the school environment in all honesty the core Focus was for our kids that they would be prepared so that they could be successful and actually achieving a joyful life we focus on being calm comfortable in your own skin and loving life because you are who you are and you're appreciated for that will the environment is really critical for the students having an environment where they feel safe we don't have pipes we don't have bullying we I'm very respectful atmosphere where everyone supports each other so the kids get it and you suppose that was your culture like that they're part of the successful part of the solution it's a great thing to really experience something I like to reflect on me is when I for got involved in education because it's a second career for me I had to have been accustomed to working on a lot of different markets and when I got into education I couldn't understand the market I kept trying to figure it out and then hit me doesn't make sense what we are doing in the United States doesn't make sense and so then when you can set that aside and start working on it you can start putting together something that does make sense
