Lottery Application

Youngsville Academy is Franklin County's top college-preparatory school. Inspired by the motto 'esse quam videri', the Academy seeks to deliver lasting, lifelong results.

Students are encouraged to pursue greatness in their academics, extracurricular activities, and community involvement. Achieving lofty goals is made possible by providing a fundamentally different type of education than what is offered at other schools. Youngsville Academy is the area's only charter school that provides a non-common core curriculum. Instead, the school has opted for a curriculum with proven results. Youngsville Academy's curriculum immerses students in the academic traditions of Western Civilization, giving them tools to excel in all academic subjects. This approach develops lifelong learners and critical thinkers by focusing on teaching how to think, rather than what to think.

Grades Offered: 

Youngsville Academy currently provides grades K-9. We will continue to expand one grade level per year.

Tuition-Free:
As a North Carolina Charter School, we charge no tuition or application fees.

Information Sessions:
Information Sessions for prospective parents are provided each year to share information about the school and answer questions that parents may have. The schedule for Information Sessions is provided below. Space at information sessions is limited and RSVPs are required.
 
Elementary Information Sessions

Junior High/High School Information Sessions
  • 1/12/2023; 1/24/2023
 
All Information Sessions are held from 6-7pm
 
 
Tours:
Does Youngsville Academy offer tours during the school day? Yes! Tours are offered to families who receive an enrollment offer via the lottery. Families who are offered an enrollment opportunity will be provided with an opportunity to tour the school. Due to the high volume of enrollment interest, we are unable to provide pre-lottery tours to all prospective families while maintaining the high academic and safety standards of the school. Families who are interested in visiting the school are highly encouraged to attend an information session. 
 
Lottery information:
The lottery application for the 2023-2024 school year closes at 4:00pm on February 10th.
 
One lottery number is assigned to each family. The lottery number is the first letter of the family's last name and the final four digits of the family's primary phone number that is listed on their application.
(Example: John Doe 919.123.4567 would be assigned lottery number D4567)
 
The lottery will be held on Tuesday February 14th, at 9:00am. Results will be posted in the news section of our website and will be distributed via email by Wednesday February 15th.
 
Minimum age to attend:
State law stipulates that to be eligible for kindergarten admission, students must be 5 years old on or before August 31st of the enrollment year (G.S. 115C-364). Youngsville Academy does not accept any applicants who do not meet this requirement.

 

Does my child who is a current student at the school need to reapply?
No. Current students do not need to reapply. Families are requested to complete an Intent to Return form in January to help the school determine the number of seats available for new students
