Youngsville Academy is a college-preparatory charter school seeking candidates who share a passion for educational excellence.

Youngsville Academy offers the following:

• Safe learning environment – The academy fosters structured, well-managed classrooms in which instructional time is maximized and distractions to learning are minimized. Students feel welcome and are encouraged throughout instruction as teachers take the time to cultivate relationships that motivate participation.
• Direct Instruction – This field tested, proven approach emphasizes the use of fast-paced, student focused instruction using engaging, carefully designed lessons that teach to mastery.
• High caliber faculty – The academy’s rigorous selection process targets individuals with both experience and passion for instructing students in their academic and moral growth.
• High student expectations – Academy students are challenged to achieve their highest level of performance possible both academically and behaviorally. Teachers act as mentors and instructors, helping their students achieve academic mastery beyond their peers in other schools.
• Leadership Support – With clear expectations and a clear vision, teachers are in an environment that supports and celebrates success. It is the aim of the administration to provide clear and consistent direction, free from contradictions or frequent changes.

Youngsville Academy seeks teachers who exhibit the following traits:

• Are Kind and Respectful - They have empathy for their students, who could be going through difficult times personally. They earn their students’ respect, and don’t have to demand it. “No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.” – Aesop
• Are Patient - They bear misfortune, difficulty, and annoyances without complaining, losing temper, or showing irritation. “To bear with patience wrongs done to oneself is a mark of perfection, but to bear patience the wrongs done to someone else is a mark of imperfection.” Thomas Aquinas
